Who we are, what we believe, and the story of our congregation in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
Established in the heart of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, the Church of Evangelical Faith of MacDowall Inc. has grown from a small gathering of faithful believers into a vibrant community of worshippers dedicated to serving God and neighbour. Our congregation traces its roots to a conviction shared by a handful of families who believed that Prince Albert needed a church built on the solid foundation of Scripture, characterised by genuine community, and committed to reaching the whole city with the love of Christ.
In those early days, services were held in living rooms, community halls, and borrowed spaces. What the congregation lacked in facilities, it more than made up for in faith, prayer, and passion. Over the years, God grew the fellowship far beyond what anyone first imagined — through seasons of revival, moments of struggle, and the faithful service of hundreds of members who gave their time, gifts, and prayers to build what exists today.
Today we are a registered Canadian nonprofit congregation — CRA Charity No. 825698285RR0001 — legally incorporated and accountable to the community we serve. We remain proudly non-denominational and evangelical in our theology, committed to the authority of Scripture, the centrality of the Gospel, and the call to love our neighbours through practical action.
Our theology is rooted in the evangelical Christian tradition and shaped by the whole counsel of Scripture.
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in nature, distinct in person, and united in purpose. All of creation, all of history, and all of salvation flow from and return to the Triune God.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. Scripture is the final rule for faith and practice — it shapes our beliefs, corrects our errors, guides our decisions, and nourishes our souls.
We believe that every human being is separated from God by sin, and that salvation is received solely through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ — not by human effort or moral merit. Salvation is entirely God’s gift, freely given and gratefully received.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead — the cornerstone of the Christian faith. The resurrection confirms Christ’s identity as Lord, secures the forgiveness of sins, and guarantees the future resurrection of all who believe.
We believe in the present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit — who convicts of sin, regenerates the heart of the believer, indwells every follower of Christ, and empowers the Church for worship, witness, and service. We welcome the Spirit’s activity in our congregation.
We believe that the local church is the primary vehicle through which God accomplishes His purposes on earth. The Church is called to worship, disciple, fellowship, serve, and proclaim — fulfilling the Great Commission until Christ returns.

At its heart, our congregation is simply a family of believers who have chosen to walk the journey of faith together. We are not a perfect church — we are a community of imperfect people who are being transformed by the grace of God and who are learning, day by day, to love one another and our neighbours better.
We believe that the best way to understand who we are is to come and experience us. Join us for a Sunday service, attend a community event, or simply call the office to have a conversation. We would love to meet you.
