Mission & Vision

The convictions that shape our congregation and guide every ministry we undertake.

Our Mission Statement

The Church of Evangelical Faith of MacDowall Inc. is a nonprofit congregation established to glorify God by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ with boldness, integrity, and compassion throughout Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, and the surrounding region. We are called to make disciples of all people — nurturing believers to maturity in their faith through sound biblical teaching, fervent prayer, and meaningful worship. We pursue this mission by welcoming all who enter our doors with genuine hospitality, by building authentic Christian community rooted in trust and transparency, and by extending the grace of God to those who are hurting, marginalized, or lost.

In practical terms, our mission compels us to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our neighbours. We serve families facing food insecurity, support newcomers navigating life in Canada, walk alongside Indigenous community members in reconciliation and healing, and provide programs for children and youth that equip the next generation with faith, character, and purpose. Everything we do flows from our commitment to Scripture as the authoritative Word of God and from our conviction that Jesus Christ is Lord — the hope of every individual and the transformation of every community.

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
— Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)

Our Vision

We envision a future where the Church of Evangelical Faith of MacDowall Inc. stands as a recognized pillar of hope and healing in Prince Albert and across northern Saskatchewan. Over the next decade, we aspire to grow as a spiritually vibrant, culturally inclusive congregation that intentionally partners with schools, health services, shelters, and civic organizations to address the root causes of poverty, isolation, and spiritual emptiness in our city.

We see a church where young people are discipled into confident, servant-hearted leaders; where every newcomer to our city finds a welcoming community; where reconciliation with Indigenous neighbours is pursued with humility and consistency; and where the visible love of Christ transforms not just individual lives, but entire families and neighbourhoods across generations. We dream of a Prince Albert where the Gospel is accessible to all, and where our congregation is known for its faithfulness, generosity, and Christlike care.

Our Core Values

Six convictions that shape how we worship, serve, and relate to one another.

F

Faith

We anchor every decision and ministry in the authority of Scripture and the finished work of Jesus Christ. Faith is not merely a belief we hold — it is a daily trust we live out in our homes, our workplaces, and our community.

S

Service

Following Christ’s example, we believe that greatness is found in serving others. Every member of our congregation is encouraged and equipped to use their gifts in ministry — within the church and throughout the wider community.

C

Compassion

We approach every person with the compassion Christ showed the poor, the sick, and the outcast. Compassion drives our outreach programs, our response to crisis, and our everyday interactions with those who walk through our doors.

C

Community

We were created for relationship — with God and with one another. We cultivate genuine, life-giving community through small groups, shared meals, honest conversation, and a culture where no one walks the journey of faith alone.

I

Integrity

We hold ourselves to a high standard of honesty, transparency, and accountability in everything we do. From how we steward our resources to how we keep our commitments, integrity shapes the character of our congregation and the trust of our community.

H

Hope

The message of Jesus Christ is fundamentally a message of hope — for the broken, the weary, and those who have lost their way. We proclaim and embody this hope in every program, sermon, and act of service, trusting that God restores what is lost.

Living Our Mission Every Day

Our mission and vision are not documents on a wall — they are the heartbeat of everything we do.
