Opportunities for every age and stage of life — rooted in Scripture, shaped by love.
At Church of Evangelical Faith of MacDowall Inc., our programs are designed to help every person — from the youngest child to the oldest elder — grow in their relationship with God and with one another. Explore the ministries below and find where you belong.
Our Sunday morning service is the heartbeat of our congregation. Each week we gather to sing, pray, hear expository preaching from God’s Word, and encourage one another in the faith. Services are warm and welcoming for first-time visitors and long-time members alike. Children’s ministry runs concurrently for ages 3–12, so every family can worship together and learn separately at the same time. We believe that corporate worship is transformative — it realigns our hearts, renews our minds, and sends us back into the world as witnesses to God’s love.
Our Youth Ministry is a safe, energetic space where teenagers and young adults aged 13–25 can explore their faith, ask hard questions, and build lasting friendships. Friday evening youth gatherings include worship music, small group discussion, games, and a relevant biblical message. Throughout the year we organize youth retreats, volunteer service days, and mentorship pairing with mature believers in the congregation. We are committed to raising up the next generation of confident, compassionate, and Christ-centred leaders who will carry the Gospel forward in Prince Albert and beyond.
We believe that faith formed in childhood lasts a lifetime. Our Children’s Ministry offers an age-appropriate, Bible-centred learning environment every Sunday morning for children ages 3–12. Trained volunteers lead lessons through stories, crafts, music, and interactive activities that make Scripture accessible and memorable. Each summer we host our beloved Vacation Bible School (VBS) — a week-long, free program for children in the community that combines learning, games, and creative expression. VBS is one of our most anticipated outreach events of the year, welcoming children from across Prince Albert regardless of church background.
Our outreach ministry puts our faith into tangible action. Throughout the year we organize quarterly food drives, seasonal clothing collections, and partnerships with local social agencies to connect families in need with practical support. Our outreach team also delivers meals to homebound seniors, assists newcomers to Canada with settlement resources, and maintains an emergency assistance fund for congregation members and community neighbours facing unexpected crises. We are guided by Jesus’ command to love our neighbours as ourselves — and in Prince Albert, our neighbourhood is diverse, beautiful, and deeply in need of hope.
Midweek Bible Study groups meet every Wednesday evening and offer a deeper dive into Scripture than is possible in a Sunday service. Groups are kept intentionally small — typically 8–14 participants — to foster honest conversation, accountability, and genuine friendship. We study both Old and New Testament books using expository methods, exploring context, meaning, and application. New groups form each September and January, and participants are matched by neighbourhood, life stage, or interest where possible. These small groups are often where the deepest spiritual growth and the most meaningful pastoral care takes place within our congregation.
We believe that prayer is the foundation of all genuine ministry. Our Prayer Ministry gathers every Saturday morning for corporate intercessory prayer, covering the congregation, the city of Prince Albert, and global missions. In addition, a dedicated prayer chain is available for urgent requests at any time — members can submit requests confidentially via email or through our church office, and a team of committed intercessors will lift every need before God. We also offer individual prayer appointments for those walking through seasons of illness, grief, decision-making, or spiritual struggle. No request is too small or too large for our God.
